In my Giant Day Gecko's aquarium i put 4 branches (aoubt 2'-3' a piece) I found them in the woods by my house, so i knew i'd have to do some cleaning. To get some of the top layer cleaned, i just ran scalding hot water on the branches. After i got them washed, i decided to put them in the oven. Personally, i put my oven at 350 degrees. Instead of just putting the pieces in by themselves, i wrapped them all in aluminum foil. Just set them directly onto the oven rack and let them sit for 20 to 30 minutes. Just unwrap the foil off and do another quick rinse and you've got some branches to put in your vivarium. Alternative methods i've never tried are bleaching the wood....which seems a little more dangerous to the animal, or just putting them in your freezer for about 12 hours. The oven seems the easiest to me though. Good luck!
thanks a lot for the help, ill try that out this weekend. never thought of using the foil...
cool name, btw.

lol, the foil is an awsome idea...although it really reminds me of a baked potatoe!
I would definatley reccomed you dont go any higher than 350* in the oven. i think the combustion point of wood is like 475*, but you dont want to take any chances.
if the wood is small enough you can use an outdoor BBQ instead. that way you avoid the chance of stinking up your house like burnt moss
If you can get a pressure wahser, it can be really usefull to blast all the loose bark off. it makes it smoother for your frogs to sit on.
POst up some pics when you get it done
