Is it better to get a young snake or a juv-adult. Is there any difference in how well they will establish themselves to a new enclosure or anything like that?

For your first yeah I think a sub adult or even an adult would be your best bet. They should adjust easier and are easier to keep than a baby. Randy

I don't care if the glass is half full or half empty !
I just want the full glass I paid for !
I agree with Randy. If this is your first Chondro, get an adult. That's what I did. You miss out on the color change, but if you're lucky (as i was), the breeder will have at least a picture of the snake as a baby
Anyway, I would go with an adult. they are much more forgiving with minor husbandry errors. also, you don't want to handle a chondro until one year of age, and that kills some people. (personally I like to handle my chondro as little as possible.)
You also know exactly what you're getting as an adult, as it has completed the color change 99% of the time. If you are wanting a really wild looking chondro, this is a disadvantage for you (first trying to find someone who will sell one, and second coming up with the $$ for it.)
Also... this is not your first snake, correct? I would NEVER reccomend a chondro as a first snake.
