You can use goo-gone if the tape is no where near the head, but still there is a chance the snake can get it in his eyes and mouth and that would not be a good thing...so you kind of have to supervise the snake the entire time you are treating him with that stuff.
I have had great luck in treating snakes that have been brought to me by people where the snake was caught in glue traps using smooth peanut butter. I would assume the principle would be the same since the sticky part of duct tape is just another type of glue. I'd slather the crevice between tape and skin with peanut butter and leaving it on for half an hour...brush away the dried up parts of the peanut butter and then slowly pull the tape back a little bit more re-applying fresh peanut butter into the new crevice.... repeat process until you get the tape off. As you get a decent amount of tape off..trim it so it doesn't try to restick to the snake or something in the cage.
