Well, my iguana is really starting to grow now.. but currently he would be considered a hatchling.. ANYHOW, I have a fairly large screened in incloseure...and I have branches in there to elevate him to the top.. so he has to climb up to get under his light ( excercise the lil guy ) and they his food bowl is down on the bottom of the linolium.. so it will be easy and safe to clean. He has a reptile net in there which he sleeps on every single night.. He has artificial plants that he hides in at times when he is scared.. Or wants to cool off. I have like a cave formed at the bottom of his cage where branches have formed it. I also gave him a cement tunnel thing to play in or whatever. And let me tell you, HE LOVES HIS HABITAT! I also have this cage placed riiiight beside my open window so he has the plearsure of hearing birds chirp, wind blowing and just outdoor sounds. He lingers more near the window during the day where it is hott and breezy.

Actually age helps determine length instead of length determining age. I've seen many Iguanas that were at least 5 plus years be only 2 foot STL. My Ig was this length at less than two years. Basically theres not a relation between length and age. You can stunt the livin' hell out of a Ig's growth thru inproper husbandry.
