Feeding Amount

CodyNolen May 19, 2005 12:43 PM

I have a aprox. 2' and 4" long ball python.

I'm feeding her a medium mouse a week. (every wedneysday)

Is this too much?

The previous owner fed it two mice a week. I've only had her about two weeks.

1 med mouse each? Both should be able to easily take adult mice. I'd say for your smaller BP, 2-3 adult mice, or a small rat. For the larger, you could probably go to a med rat.

When I went to the pet store to get feeders. I told them I need big to F'N big mice.

All the had were meds.

I have two mice left. After they are fed I am gonna switch to rats.

These mice are aprox. 3" - 4" from snout to butt.

I'm thinking I should place a order online at rodentpro.com ...

Buying them live and caring for them is bs. Also I would not have to sit there and watch the snake until lit starts to eat. With a prekilled I could just drop it and go.

The ball is such a good eater I think it'd eat thawed rats easily.
