My New Girl - Opinions .... Dial up warning .. (does anyone still use dial up?)

I got her yesterday and she is gorgeous. First off the pictures of her don't do her justice. I almost passed on her because she didn't look all that abberant in the photos and I figured that that blurry look was just due to egg stress. But when I got her, WOW!! Her coloring is amazing, she kinda looks to me like a black cherry, and the blurriness is much more distinct in person and her dark alien spots are almost a greenish grey color. I've got to get a better camera. LOL, I named her Harlequin because of her neck pattern.

Anyway... what do you think and do you think it's something genetic or just egg stress. And yes I know she's normal, I'm just wondering if you all think her coloring and pattern will be genetic. Thanks, Tosha

Very nice Tosha! Pictures are funny things. Over the years I have been tricked in both directions: looked better in person and looked worse in person.

Or at least we can hope so. Nice color and pattern.

Yeah your right at this point she is normal....but you've gotta like the potential. She is really unique looking. She will be fun to raise up and see if something wild kicks loose. Thanks for the picks.

I got one that lookes alot like yours last year. It is a female and I still have her. This is a photo of her. They seem to keep that highlight of yellow bordering the patterned. I cannot get the camera to show all the true colors but here she is at 300 grams.

Hi Tosha,

Nice pics & very nice looking BP.
Here is a picture of a female that I been raising that looks very much like yours. As she's grown she lost a lot of that blurry, velvet look but still stands out in the crowd.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, I should probably also thank Mike at Rainforest Reptiles for finding such a beauty! I guess I'll just wait to see what happens when I breed her.

And many "Thanks" to David and Steve, I'll be looking forward to seeing what you do with you girls! It's nice to know she will probably keep her unique look and beautiful colors even if the blurry part goes away!
