Hey Lele,
Cricket here. Yeah, it's been a while since I've posted.
As for your inquiry, I've currently got over 50 female breeders & they greatly vary in weight. Even the ones that are the same age. I've got 12 month old females that weigh less than some of the 9 month females. So a definite average weight is almost impossible. Like I said, there's too much variation from one female to the next. I know this probably didn't help you much, but I tried. By the way, still got your tarantulas?

Hi Cricket,

I just saw a post of yours on the bearded dragon forum yesterday and it made me wonder where you've been! Did you know I got a baby bd? Pic in the gallery under lele.

I do understand variables and I am just trying to gauge if Luna is in fact small. So even a range of yours is helpful. She is 5.5" sv and about 90g. How does that compare to yours? Like is your smallest 7 s/v and 120g, which would put Luna on the small size. Again, just trying to figure HER average weight since I am changing her whole feeding regimen to try and reduce clutch size and frequency and b/c her weight varies so much it is hard to know what is "normal" (lol!) for her

thx,
lele

I think Luna's weight is fine for a 5.5" STV. I just checked four of my females for you. I have: STV lengths
6" = 85gms 6" = 80gms
7" = 99.5gms 7" = 105gms
None of these are currently gravid, although the 6",80gm girl just laid a clutch on 05/14.
I hope this helps you. And yes, I'm still around. The season is in & I've been swamped with babies. I'm also trying to build my own website(which I still suck at). I'm learning as I go. The whole site needs work done on it, but it's a start.

Hey Lele,
Email me directly at cricketscritters@charter.net and I'll give you a hint of our new project. It's not on our website & won't be until we have babies. But I know you'll enjoy this.
