Spilotes stud

undfun May 19, 2005 11:11 PM

I have an adult male Spilotes - nice captive bred with good color - I've had him for years. I don't want to buy a female but would be willing to give the male away to someone with a good looking, long term captive female in exchange for a pair of the off spring. Is this a reasonable proposition?

It seems males are much more available than females so this may be a non-starter proposition.

In my opinion, I think you should locate an unrelated female instead of acquiring a sibling pair to breed.

Like I said, only my opinion.
