feeding ?

what is better for my monitors beef liver or kidney? i have a nile ,argus, savannah, and a tegu( not a monitor but still wondering)by better i mean what has more vitamens and what not? thanks Gerald

nile ,argus, savannah are monitors, tegu's are basicaly a monitors(in my opinion, especialy feeding wise).

I do bloody liver once in a while especialy with a monitors that dont like to eat/drink(sickly), they tend to take the blood. As far as nutrition, i dont think either is the best.

I wouldn't feed any of that to my monitors, at least not as any meassureable part of their diet. Whole prey items are the best. Feed them mice, it is simple and if you get them frozen in bulk it is not that expensive. I feed all my monitors mice and crikets, If i find a spider or bug in the house I will give it to them too or other things like dead snakes and such but their diet is 90% mice and crickets. Some people use chicken peeps, roaches and such. I have never tried any of those but it seems that they work fine too. Stick with what works, youll be better off.
