trust with a oug gecko

im going to be feding my young leo meal worms untill i cna ge ta lid build for my tank has anybody any ideas as to how i can get him to see me as a food source? because istn that the way they start to recognise you normaly? also if you feed meal worms do they eat themquickly or not? because if htey do theni suppose i could just make sure iput them in one at a time

You can try starting by feeding him mealies from a dish so he knows where to expect the food to come from. Then after he gets comfortable with eating them as you drop them into the dish try getting him to take them from your fingers. Move slowly and quitely, allow him to become accostomed to your presence. after they have settled in kleo's usually become quite tame

Well actually it's best if you leave a dish of mealworms instead of feeding the gecko one at a time. That way it can eat whenever it wants to. I use one of those condiment cups you get at wal-mart for like .50. I'm not a fan of crickets, you probably won't be either after you have them. Your gecko will learn that you are the food source no-matter what you feed it.

i know about keeping crickets i used to have a preying mantis
they escaped and annoyed the hell outa my mum

so if i get crix im gonna be carful and get cricket traps strategicly placed under thign sto catch them so they don sing all night around the house
we had one behind the boilder for months afer mymantis died
