Brazilian Rainbow Rack System Question

I"m thinking about building a rack for my BRB's and was wondering what a good container (sterilite or rubbermaid) would be the best for them. THey are full grown adults. I was looking for something that was about 36"Lx16Wx6"high. Are those dimensions too small. Please tell me what would be the best dimensions that isn't really high. THX
