Vet Appt.

ShaunDuke Jul 12, 2003 02:08 PM

I got my beardie a vet appointment for wednesday. I forget who it was that gave me the advice, but thank you very much. I think he does have coccidia, I just noticed his first stool with a little yellow in it, which I believe is a sign of it. So everyone wish me luck with my BD, and hope all goes well for him.

I showed my friend what he was supposed to look like as an adult and he was like "Your BD, that big? Really?"

I also bought a new beatiful baby Leopard Gecko named Alwen, and she is eating very well, which is great.

Its always a good move to have your bearded dragon checked by a vet shortly after you get it. I am glad you made that move.

You will be able to tell if he does have coccidia, other parasites or worms and know you are getting him off to a good start. Let us know what you find out and if he does, there are tings other on here can advise you to help him and you through his treatment time so it is a little easier on you both

To be honest, I have had him for a long while now, I think since last October. I wasn't worried about him til about a few months ago. Then a couple days ago I asked what it could be on here, and someone suggested Coccidia, so I just made him a vet appt. because I don't want to risk it getting worse. He's always been sort of the runt type. I think he was intimidated by the BD I had before. But now he is very active and violent with his feeding . He actually enjoys spitting out some of the cricket when I'm watching, just to be a jerk. He used to be the one I worried about before, but the healthy looking one died, so I'm going to take him in before he just dies all of a sudden.
