Male or Female Red Tegu?

This is my red tegu I am not sure of the sex can anyone help me out? I was thinking it is a female because of the coloration but I am not sure.

I see no jowls so I would say female

Much too young to tell other than with probing. My male looks almost exactly the same, as do most youngin red tegus. Coloration varies on animal, not on gender, from my experience. If you're curious, try a vet trip and have him probed from someone experienced in tegus or lizards comparible to them. Otherwise, you have to wait till his maturity shows more.
