G. oxcephala update....

Conrad May 21, 2005 07:56 PM

Well, my new female G. oxcephala just dropped 5 very healthy eggs! So here's to luck, and maybe, just maybe I'll get one of them to hatch...If I get more than one to hatch, you'll see me on the news dancing naked in the streets! So maybe the rest of you will be hoping they don't hatch...lol

Ok, so maybe warn us to avoid the news when they hatch! I do hope you have success hatching them. Captive born would be a great option for those of us that are afraid of trying to acclimate them.

Good luck to you!

Thanks...You can be sure to hear from me if a single one of these babies hatch out! Maybe between my two females I'll get lucky, produce two clutches, and get a male from one cluth to hatch and a female from the other?....hmmmm...A boy can dream can't he....:D

Good luck hatching them, Conrad. Hope they all make it. They are hard-shelled, like taeniura, aren't they? Also, they might like cooler incubation temps. But I don't keep them...just guessing...TC.

Well, if they're hard shelled like my beauties, then I'll have no problem hatching them...but...if they're hard shelled like every else says they are, I'm hoping for a couple hatchlings at best...if all five make it...look for news storys of "Naked Man Dancing in Streets of NC".
