A few people on here are using computer case fans to rais/lower heat or humidity.

I now am one of them lol.

I took a 4 inch fan I ripped from a dead psu, A toggle switch, and a 9 volt battery. Boom... instant fan.

No rigging of a power supply. Only thing is it runs slow on the 9 volt. I am gonna get a battery pack from radioshack for 6 or more double a's.

Case fans cost lots and lots at RS. cheapest 4 inch one was 17.99.

This is really a unrelated note... but. I finaly bought a digital thermomentor. I friggen love it! In my anole tank today the cool end was 73 - 76 and basking spot 85 degrees. I bought another one to use with my ball python.

The thermomentor was only 5.99. (gotta love prices at big lots)

My god analog humidty gauges are incorrect! Mine always read 60 - 80%... the digital one says 23 - 40%. So today I bought a humidifier on ebay.

As of right now stats:
room temp: 78.4 degrees
enclosure temp: 77.3 degrees
humidity: 31%

The fan is probably a 12VDC model and that is why it is running slow on a 9V battery. It would be cheaper in the long run to buy a 12V "wall wart" (voltage converter) at Wal-Mart for $8 and plug it into an outlet. I have mine (along with the lighting, mister. etc. plugged into a power strip and a timer so everything comes on in the morning and goes off at night. When the temperature cools at night the humidity naturally goes up. Besides, you shouldn't need to cool the enclosure at night.

Thanks for the help.

I will definately do that.

I actually do have to cool at night. My ball python is kept in my other house where the air conditioner isn't runing. I have to turn the fan on at night in the room. (We recently had some freakishly hot weather recently)

But for my anole, garter snake, and hamster. You are right. Seeing as how people are oin this house I can run the friggen air. (my fammily are cheap skates...)

Right now my room tem p is 81... It'll probably drop to 75 - 78 tonight though.

One very very weird thing.. the room temp in my bed room.. is almost identical to the room temp in my other house where my ball python is... x_x

I found a 24v wall wart in my storage boxes.

I think it went to a printer I don't even have any more.

So I hooked two 12v fans to it. They are going full blast lol.

I also found a 6v 800mA wall wart. It could run one fan at 60% speed. (better than a 9v battery)

Thanks for the advice.
