Do BRB's go through "phases," like with other species of boa? I lurk on the Boa forum and i see light phase and dark phases ........ What are phases anyway?

This is a shot I took at night of my CRB male. He stays orange all the time but at night he lightens up a bit and the white comes up his sides. Maybe a comfort issue, nocturnal habits.
