So this is not uroplatus related, but does have something to do with them.
I've been trying to part with a pair of Green Tree Pythons for a few months now and I haven't had much success because they are long term captive w.c.'s.
tonight I spoke with my property manager about my collection and how I was going to try to get an air conditioner for my reptile room to get the temps down to the mid 70's so not to fry any of my geckos. He responds with "I was thinking about asking you to take you geckos out of that storage room I'm letting you use so I can put a small wall mounted air conditioner in for you." I was somewhat taken back but said "just tell me when and I'll move them right away."
Then I got to thinking about how much he's let me get away with or given me some kind of kick back or "special" price on the apartment since I've moved in.
1) I was subleasing when I wasn't supposed to be and he let me stay in my old apartment.
2) He gave me a storage room to use for my geckos when the people I subleased from told me "No Pets!"
3) He gave me a $250 discount on the rent and no security deposit when I moved into one of the empty 2 bedroom apartments. Normally 1350 a month with a 1500 security deposit versus the 1100 I pay currently without a deposit.
4) Bought a refrigerator for our apartment when I couldn't afford one.
5) Received all my shipments of crickets and animals when I was at work or out of town.
6) He took care of my animals when I went out of town to visit family and work a convention in Maryland for my girlfriend's company.
Now, Steve (my prop. manager) keeps Green Tree Pythons. I know he's looking to get more to add to his collection. Do any of you think it would be a bad gift to give him the pair of green tree pythons because of all the kick backs and help he's been giving me since I moved into his apartment complex? Because of all his generosity I've saved over $1000 on rent plus what I didn't spend on the security deposit ($2500) and another 450 on the refrigerator. Now add in there another $2000 for the rest of the year's rent I'm saving on.
The snakes are only worth $1500 at most because they are wildcaught.
Think I would be over stepping my bounds by giving him a present of that caliber? I know he likes them too, he's always remarking about how beautiful they are.
Thanks all for any and all input...
Jason

I'm sure he would not do that if hes so into them.
