Would this be considered her pre lay shed?

kaneskreatures May 22, 2005 12:30 PM

I have a 1900+ gram female that shed about 3 weeks ago, and has just completed another shed yesterday. During this last shed she seemed to ovulate (looked like a softball inside her)
So am I waiting for another shed or was that it? This hasn't happened w/ any other females of mine. Has this happened to anyone before?

Thanks for your input, Des

Did you breed her? Sorry to ask it may sound dumb but im sure some people her will think that a ball that sheds and has a softball shape inside her is gravid.

If you have seen copulation(or even if she copulated the previous year from what i hear),and she hasn't fed recently enough for that "softball" to be anything else (ie,food or waste)...Then maybe you will get eggs soon.
If she continues to refuse to feed, that may be a sign she is in fact gravid as well.(Assuming the proper temperature gradiant is there, and barring any other potential health issues.)

Best of luck to you.
