Do you sex the babies with a probe or by popping them? If you pop them what does the hemipene look like in a python. I have worked a lot with rattlesnakes but there hemipene is quite unique.

If you have experience probing, and don't know what to look for when popping, probe away........
BUT.....

be gentle with hatchlings and use an appropriately sized probe.

I would pop them myself, the hemipenes look like two red cylinders, usually with a significant amount of blood vessels. If they are several months old already, it can be more difficult to get a male to let them hang out, so don't use excessive force, wait a few more months and probe them.
