I just saw a post from ed with his comment about his electric bill and i am in the same boat as im sure alot of us are any1 know the cheapest way to heat a tank? any tricks anything

One of the cheapest and best way is to have various elevations.
This not only allows for you to use the lowest watts bulbs possible, it provides an avenue to provide easy gradient temps needed. Herps will climb to the higher pts to receive their basking temps, etc.

I have 6 cages right now that are being heated. At least it is not cold outside any more, and I was able to cut the bulb wattages and the number of fixtures in some of my cages. Thank goodness for summer
