how to install flexwatt heat tape?

hey, do i need to put anything on the bottom of the tape so it doesn't burn the wood? and how do i get it to stick.

Your flexwatt should not be getting hot enough to burn any materials unless your not using a themrostat. I cover mine with foil tape to provent the tubs from rubbing off the plastic coating on the element....
