A simple planted enclosure

ltllzrd May 22, 2005 04:41 PM

Live tropical plants in a mix of succulent soil and coconut husk, branch for basking if they are so inclined to do so.

I have two crested geckos in here. The tank's vertical space and hiding places can hold two more (max). The plants keep the oxygen going and gecko poo helps fertilize things.

When I used to breed cresteds (which I'm getting back into), I never incubated the eggs. My females would lay them in the place they thought best and I'd wake up to two tiny geckos on a regular basis.

nice...you should concider planting a few older ficus b. trees in it. maybe a year old and just cut the top off and trime back
the branch ends so they thicken up nicely.

cool photo though.
