New Rat Rack!

James75 May 22, 2005 08:02 PM

I finaly finished one of my new rat racks I still have three more to go. This rack holds 36 Van Ness CP2 Tubs and should produce over 1000 rats per month.

Please let me know what you think.

Looks really good James, well thought out.

What size are those CP-2 pans? And what are the dimensions of the rack itself?

Thanks for looking.

I like to run 1 male and 3 females in each pan. This number seems to work real good for the size pan I'm using.

On average I get 10 kits per litter per month and this rack holds 108 females so that how I came up with 1000 rats per month.

Thanks for the feed back.

The CP2 pan from Van Ness is 19" x 15" x 6" which holds 1 male and 3 female perfectly. The rack dims are 51" x 39" x 60" and the pans slide in from both sides.

I do a lot of Auto-CAD work at my job so I designed this on the computer so I could get the most out of the space and out of each pcs of wood.
