outside caging

yung-wun May 22, 2005 10:07 PM

my question is if it is too hot outside for my veiled. i have a 6'2'3'(h,w,l) cage and it has wheels on it. can i leave my cage outside from morning to afternoon(8-3)? it is about 90-95 degrees outside.

If you have a place for the cage that allows some shade during the hot part of the day, lots of plants that can create a cooler shaded area, and can provide some misting or a humid area, you can do it. You could drape a towel or shade cloth on part of the cage, put it under a tree, and plan to spray the foliage down to cool it off and provide a lot of drinking water. If the temp gets over 95 I'd bring it indoors.
