A funny thing happened on the way to the forum

Everyone that has ever been around an argus, knows how crazy they are. If you don't, this story will help a little.
I was doing a spot cleaning and water change in the muddy argus cage. The crazy lizard was rooting through my pockets, up my pantlegs and in my shirt sleeves. It once found a Now or Later and went to eating it. Great I think to myself, now I have an argus on a sugar high.
Well, now every chance it gets, it goes straight for the pocket the Now or Later was found in. (do lizards know left from right?)
It once found some peppermints and decided he didn't need these.
I think my argus is addicted to grape Now or Laters now.
I have put different things in my pockets to get it to beat its addiction but nothing works. It has stolen money from me and buried it. Maybe it plans a trip to the store to buy more Now or Laters.
I have put redhots, lemonheads, (I think he liked the lemonheads, it took some time before it dropped them)certs, even dead roaches. It even drops the roaches and goes on digging.
I am beginning to think I have a junkie argus on my hands.
I guess I will either have to enter it into a 12 step Now or Later program or start wering sweatpants without pockets when cage cleaning.

The problem with argus is, they grow up. Once they get large, they not only take whats in the pocket but the pocket and whatever skin and meats attached.

I find they are harder to untrain then to train. Getting giant argus(what happens when you take care of them) to stop hunting you is a large problem, when they are large. Its nice for the very large ones to have some fear of you, its much safer that way. FR

This critter has no fear. The dummy has even charged Fluffy's window. Doesn't it understand that Fluffy would consider it a good meal?
It is fasinated with my wifes rabbit. It will sit and just watch it. Maybe the critter is making plans for when it is grown and the bunny would taste good. Who knows what these crazy critters think.

A Now and Later? Yep, that lizard's a junk food junkie alright. MY Savannah likes to eat my wife's famous egg and sausage breakfast burritos. I never gave him one intentionally. My son had him in his hands in the kitchen and the little devil wiggled free and darted off with a buritto. I think your story is funnier though, get that lizard some counseling! LOL
