Chill out!

jeffr03 May 22, 2005 10:40 PM

Ok So I got a new Dumerils about 2 weeks ago and he has been GREAT! He is a little under 3 feet not to sure about how old he is but he is eating good and is nice as can be. Only thing is, my friend came over with his Columbian Red Tail and i was holding him and he was so . . . chill. All he did was wrap around my arm and i could walk all over the house with him latched on my shoulder and it was so sweet! Everytime I get my Dumerils out he always wants to go explore and i keep having to do the treadmill with my hands. Will he ever chill out?

no because mine does the same thing. trying to put him in his tank is like trying to put a kid into a shopping cart (to push...not to buy)

I have several Dumerils Boas. I have 2 that when you take them out the explore for around 5 minutes then they like to climb up and sit with their head on our heads and just observe. I have others that I bought as adults that were never handled much when younger (kept for breeding purposes) that just want to jet. I think alot of it depends on how often they are handled. But that is just my opinion.
