CLEANING~~~~~~~~~~

westsidestory May 23, 2005 01:12 AM

How would you clean the cage of a GTP?
For ex, if you had an aggresive one, how do you clean its cage?
are ARU's known to be the most tame?

Arus are "normally" one of the tamest locale types. I've got 5 arus, all cbb that are as tame as can be and also... have a Jaya male that rivals the arus for sweetness. My scariest are the biaks and a couple of the designer high yellows (probably some of their biak blood leaking out)

As for cleaning the cages.... out of 30 plus gtp's I only have 2 that are wary of me working in their cages for cleaning and even then it's generally fairly simple to clean. First, I swear by removable perches..... big mess, take out perch with snake on it, clean up return perch. I think the key to doing cage work is to do it during the daytime hours too.

Yeah, I heard of that method as well...But, what if the snake starts to get off its perch as you're cleaning its tank/tub. What then?

How painful are the bites?

When you mean tame and sweet, meaning, they don't strike at you?
and can you generally say CBB Arus are the most tamest? thanks!
