just got back from the vet and everything is ok so far. they did an amputation. during the procedure he stopped breathing and they couldnt get a heartbeat because of the anesthetic. they turned the gas off and gave him o2 and he started breathing again and they got a heartbeat back. i dont think i took a breath either. so he is back now and in a different room than the female for a while. thanks for all the well wishes

i was pleasantly surprised by the bill too, it was only 80$ i expected a lot more than that. 25$ for the operation 25$ for the gas and 30$ for the visit fee.
