I was just wondering if in uros males or females typically are bigger or smaller than the other sex? Or if there are any other ways to tell sexes? Thanks, Cara

Depends on the species. Adult ornates and somali are easy, the males are very colorful compared to the females. With Sudanese, the male is more brightly colored, but not as distinctive as with the ornates and somali, and in this species, the female is usually larger. With Saharans, the male is more colorful and has a colorful belly as well, with the females being much duller and usually having a cream colored belly. Mature males also have larger femoral pores in most species. It's not too easy with very young juvies. I hope this helps a little.
