Suggestions on heating cage ?

got2strum May 23, 2005 06:52 PM

Hello, I was hoping I might get some ideas here. I was given these display cases by my Grandfather and thought they would make great snake cages. I sectioned them off for four cages and cut two large holes through the center wall of each cage. This makes them 5'2" x 18 x 13 each. Any ideas on heating it ? The cage is made out of a heavy particle board covered with maybe formica ? The back is just that thin board used on the back of most entertainment stands. Appreciate any help. Thanks

Awsome looking cages! I woudl probably have to say you will have to use a kane or Cobra UTH as they are the only ones that can be used inside the cage with no other work involved. You could use flexwatt and it woudl be cheaper but you would have to seal it off with plexi, sentra or even ceramic tile... shoot me an email if you want to chat about your heating. matt@mgreptiles.com

You could also use radiant heat panels.
