Be VERY CAREFUL!!! I don't even sex my baby kenyans. If it is your first time probing I do NOT recommend it!!! Have someone with experience!! They are so small you need to know exactly what you are doing!! Just my thoughts....
I do not know how to answer you question sorry....

just pop them they are real easy . if you decide to prob them wait till they are at least 12 inches and use a tiny prob. but most of the time you can just look at the tail and tell us is male and who ias she when you have a bunch females have much shorter tails and they are broader then males. mmost time i can get 95% or better just looking at tail on sand boas at least no sound on bc's but sands are easy
Im the one shes asking for, as she has contacted me about a pair of them. I have never sexed any of the smaller boas like this before, and am a bit leary of doing so.
I agreee that probeing them young is likely not the way to go, and had explained that to her.
I tried to look for spurs and tail size, and I have 8 and they all look the same to me.
I havent tried to pop them yet, but I have never been good at popping any snakes. I just dont have the "touch" for it.
You cant "feel" sex them like you can other boas can you?

Hi Chris,
I just got a response that said that males tails are longer than females. So I don't need to probe.
Thanks,
Barbara
I have only had to sex baby Rough Scales and they are easy, males have spurs females don't. I do not know if this is the case with Kenyans?
