Problems Shedding

Ok my new dumerils ched for the first time tonight. only problem is that its in like 100 peices. is this bad? what can i do to help?

lots of things can be done. most importantly is to increase the humidity in the tank. you can place the water dish directly on top of or bneath the heating element or you can lightly mist the snake and or the tank throughout the day. you can even give the snake an occasional bath (lukewarm water--70-75F) when he is in shed. also, a product that seems to work well for my snakes is "shed-ease". it costs about $5-$10 a bottle but you only have to mix about 2 tablespoons to like a quart of water so you get a lot of uses out of it. i just mix it up in a spray bottle and mist the snake 2-3 times a day while mine are in shed. hope this helps.
