after letting the little nipper settle down for a week in its new digs I offered it a fuzzy with a lizard tied on for good measure. Took it without hesitation, what a neat little snake!

Dude, that's cheating......lol. Great that it fed though. Next time try it sans lizard, but you might have spoiled it already...hehe. BTW- what kind did you use?

I cut to the chase lets say, LOL, actually I probably could have gotten away with just scenting it as he nailed it right off and actually took the fuzzy first but the lizard was already tied on so...next time he gets one that is merely scented and hopefully after that he will take them without anything. The lizard used was a newborn uta that I harvested in the wash by my house. I was contacted by a fellow in Kansas who has a LTC adult female that he swears looks exactly like the one I have, I told him to send me a picture so I can see what it looked like.
