O/T What kind of fern is this and can it be used with day geckos?

Just got this fern and thought that it would do well in a vivarium like setup. Any thoughts on what it is? Thanks

that is an Holly Fern (Cyrtomium falcatum). You might be able to pull it off, but I do not think it would hold up to the high humidity levels of most vivariums. It is a temperate fern, not a tropical fern....

Holly Ferns have much tougher/waxier leaflets than other ferns which would suggest to me that it is there in place to prevent water loss, ie. coming from a drier climate...

Give it a shot....it'll either work or it won't.... good luck!
