Domestic vs. Exotic animal attacks?

goini04 May 24, 2005 03:21 PM

Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone happens to know of any good sources of information regarding attack statistics between domestic animals vs. Exotics? I would like to include some of this information in my website and would like to know where I can get ahold of this information.

Much appreciative!!

Chris

I don't know where you'll find it, but I can tell you this...You will find that domestic animal "attacks", including fatal ones, will far out-number those by exotics. Farm animals, including pigs & horses kill a lot of people world-wide.

My little sister wrote a college paper on this. I will see if I can find it for you and give you all the sources. It is actually somewhere on the venomous forum but I have no idea what page it is on. I know the thread is labeled "little sisters exotics paper."

Greg, I understand completely. I am just trying to get some documentation regarding this so I can have it for my studies.

Eunectes,

I would really appreciate it if you were able to get the sources for me. I will look through the threads and see if I can find it. Thanks abunch for your help!!

i have heard that more people are killed by deer every year than snakes...dont know where you would find proof of that.
I think horses kill more people every year than any other domestic animal..again i dont know where you would find proof of that but if you do i would love to see it
