Anybody keep these, or even breed them? I know there are a few out there but didn't know if anyone has them in their private collections.

These reptiles are quite rare in captivity. Very few zoos own them. I know the San Diego Zoo had a breeding group, I'm not sure if they still have them. There is also a zoo in Texas that has these, although I cant think of it off the top of my head. Hope this helps. I doubt if any are in homes in the United States.

you wont find a "private collector" as you cannot obtain them legally. only via research facilities or zoos. they are protected and have a small niche and are rare. they are slow to breed...but a fascinating species from a near-extinct group.
