Hey everyone. I went herping a few weekends ago and we saw a lizard that looked to be a juvenile side-blotched lizard. It had the most intense orange on any lizard i have ever seen from the front leg to the back leg down the sides. It had some dark specks on its back. I didn't get a pic or catch it, darn it. The only other thing close to it could have been a sagebrush lizard. By the way, we saw:
-Countless whiptails
-Jackrabbits
T-ons of spadefoot tadpoles in the puddles from the last rain
-That wierd orange sided lizard
-A killdeer nest with "BROKEN-WINGED" parents
-Animals thought to be humans destructing habitat
-A snake or something thrashing in a clump of grass. Too scared to look through the clump it was HUGE.
And caught:
-Several horned lizards
-Two sagebrush lizards
-SOme spadefoot tadpoles
-a teeny baby whiptail
it was a great time.
