I've got to admit, thatsa great idea for a quarantine tank. How are you keeping it standing. You actually gave me an idea for the three I have down stairs that I've had sitting normally that house my fimbriatus imports.
cheers
jason
It actually sits upright quite well, and with a little weight in the bottom, it's very sturdy. I put it up on a milk crate to get it about a foot off the floor to make it easier to view, and so I can siphon out water from the drainage area.

In case anyone is interested...
Sorry for the condition of the cage in these pics. A friend of mine used it to separate a Corucia zebrata and its newborn from an aggressive male. Mom and offspring smeared it up pretty good!
This one is permanently mounted to an epoxy sealed pine face frame.
Front view:
What kind of epoxy did you use to seal it to the tub?
I used Envirotex-Lite Epoxy. It's expensive, even if you buy it in bulk. I only used it because I had some when I helped Ben Smith (from this forum) build his Uroplatus habitat.
If I were to build this cage again I'd use a coat of paint or whatever I was using the coat the front of the face frame. Then on the inside I'd laminate on a layer of the vinyl film used in the sign industry to put graphics on store fronts, cars, etc.
Easier and cheaper.
I shall consider this. You my friend are my source of reasons to build more cages. Lets just hope they don't fall to pieces.
How are your gonyosoma doing? Any luck with eggs?
Jason
Gonyosoma are doing pretty well. I have an adult male coming in tomorrow so hopefully I can answer that egg question sometime in the near future.
