Looking a bit better, but not much color yet.

They are so small compared to my two others. They are just sandy brown color now. Eating and drinking, so that is good. The ONLY way that I can seem to get the little one "Race car" to drink is to pour a bit of water on the glass bottom of the cage. Then he will drink it up. I am going to try johne's hole in plastic cup trick tonight. Sometimes I just use ice cubes on the screen top and let them melt, but it has been so hot here they melt too fast.

Thanks Eve!
After two weeks I gave them sand in their cage. I was using paper towels so I could make certain that they were eating and going potty (grin). They kicked the sand off of a 6 inch section of the tank bottom, not sure why, but hey if it makes them happy, then it's all good!!

Have a great day Eve!

After you try the johne's hole in plastic cup trick tonight, go for the candle wax...works every time

John (nice looking lizards you have there).

One comment...I have heard (don't know if it is true) that the fine screen, like what is in windows, will filter out the beneficial UVB rays. I really have no idea.

Believe this is correct. The fine wire weave acts a bit like a "shade cloth" and reduces the tiny amount of UVB produced by these bulbs to even LESS. I heard using 1/2" hardware cloth was the way to go for the tops. Still some losses, but *tolerable* amounts.

Thank you also DC
Most of my screen covers are the 1/2" hardware sreen. Some are the metal screens, but none of mine are the fine mesh. You guys are great, Thanks!!!

But where do collareds even have there nipples and do they ever nurse????? I wonder....

The screen that you are seeing in the pic is from my back screen door, it is not a screen cage. But thanks for the info, I was not aware of that.
