Is aspen ok?And for a hide i got this timothy hay from petsmart and took a big wad of it and put it in a pile so the snake could crawl into that,is the timothy hay ok?It dont look nothing like hay it looks like dry out regular grass.

aspen is fine. what i use. i would go get an actual cave type setup, rather it be a clay flower pot saucer with a hole in one side or whatever. they will burrow in the aspen, but i would put an actual hide in there also.
