Couple new pics of Drayko and his newly built home

yellowfox May 25, 2005 09:16 AM

Well i got draykos home about finished last night. Some wood added and put the sand in. Its not totally finished. It needs a stand, top and some more stuff inside. I think its turning out pretty nice. I put drayko in there for about 5 minutes just to see what he thought. I was pretty suprised. He just roamed around checking the place out and sitting on ledges, climbing on the wood and simply being curious. I took him out because a couple times he would look out of the front of the glass and think he could just walk out onto the floor (the tank was on the floor) So i'll be waiting until hes older and the tanks totally finished to put him in there.

Heres a pic with the dual 36" fluorescent on. this fixture will be here on the right side. This leaves 12" on the left side for the basking lamp to be placed (will be mounted above the tank for access as will the fluerescent fixture)

Heres a pic with no fluorescent light and the 75w basking lamp. gonna need a brighter bulb for this tank!

Here would be drayko checking out the basking area

And here he is wondering why i'm pointing this huge oddly shaped object him

Finally, here he is back in his familiar surroundings wore out from the exploration of his future home.

Very nice! Thank goodness I don't have a beardie at the momment that would be jeolous of it... Though I think my ball python may have seen the picture and is demanding a better enclosure (like yours!).

bd's are SO expressive - well, WE add the human emotion and thought to it, but they certainly are photgenic!
