Proper mixing of Flagyl (METROZOL) capsules with water?? (Bean Farm)

fsr May 25, 2005 10:19 AM

Hi!!!!
I want to purchase the Flagyl (METROZOL) Metronidazole capsules from The Bean Farm. Each capsule is 250 mg.
Do you know the amount of water to mix with the contents of each capsule?
I am currently treating a group of captive hatched baby Ball Pythons. I ran out of the Flagyl that I got from another breeder and don't want to pay for an office visit to get it from my vet.
Thank you!!

Do a forum search, I explained this before. Sorry just don't want to waste any more of my time for somebody who will probably question me & listen to one of these superstar beginners one this forum.

..........that is exactly what I was going to do. Anyway, I did do a search and came up with about 10,000 unreated hits.....and some that were related but not what I needed. I'll just go see my vet....probably what I should do anyway. Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time.

Take the 250mg capsule, mix the capsules contents with 10CC of water, shake well, and then determine your animals dose. What is not used throw away & make a new batch the next time, and make sure to give the snake the medication soon after mixing/shaking it up or the Flagyl will settle & the snake will not get the dose you are trying to give it.

Good luck, sorry if I seemed a little harsh at first (I'm actually a pretty nice guy LOL).
