Hi Rainer,

Please see the below pics. This female laid 11 big, fertile eggs on 5/8/05 and has shed since. She is eating like a pig so I figured it to be ok to double clutch her (and I have NEVER double clutched a snake before).

I put her in with a male about 2 hours ago and just checked them. There are two sperm plugs on her back. I picked one up and it is a sperm plug and not a puddle of musk.

Does this mean that he simply everted his hemipenes on her body and not necessarily a sign of a successful mating?

I remember seeing you post something about the importance of sperm plugs before but I have never paid attention to them until now.

Thanks in advance for your response Rainer (I am going to owe you my 1st born after all the help you have given me this year).

Anytime you see those anywhere in the cage means you had a successful breeding.

But I do think your male is a perv for gettin it all over your female. Must be a hot looking female eastern
