BEST BET A BREEDER

westsidestory May 25, 2005 08:19 PM

So my best bet in getting a "tame" ARU GTP would be from a breeder, or so Ive read so far in this forum...Does anyone know of any I can contact? Thanks!

And I think I solved my cleaning problem...I like those Vision222 cages? (sorry I dont know if I spelled it right), but still, to clean the inner walls you have to stick your hand in there am I correct?...I like the fact that I can take out the bucket underneath to change the substrate/water bowl...but how about cleaning the inner walls (so it doesnt smell/look dirty)...any advice????

And is it possible to leave my GTP in that enclosure (222 vision) for the rest of its life without taking it out???...I dont plan to play with it regardless if its tame or not, I just perfer a tame one to satifsy my pansyness haha... thanks guys!

their are tons of breeders out their and a few really good places to find them... i would reccomend staying out of these classifides and off [bleep]... their is a link below that should help you out... it is also a really good GTP forum... the link is below my pic...

as far as the cages go... you do not need to clean your cages walls vary often... the snake stays perched most of the time and the waste goes on the floor... i wipe my out every couple of weeks just for good measure, but i think a few people only do it like 6 times a year... its not like the walls are going to get real dirty..... its more of a preference thing... do what you think is best....
i use vision cages, but to be honest i cant remember which ones i have... i have like 50... lol
if the cage is the right size you can leave it in their for its entire life........ however if you get a baby it does not need the space an adult does... the large cage can cause stress...
24 X 24 X 31 seems to be about the standard for adults... one important thing to keep in mind if you are going to use the larger cage is to make sure you have a perch that is the proper size for the baby... if they are on too large of a perch it can cause spinal problems... also put TONS of stuff in the cage... such as live or fake plants... try to eliminate alot of the open space... this will help with the stress...

i think i covered all the bases their...
