Good mate for a bloodred.

Spardawolf Jul 12, 2003 07:39 PM

Hello everyone, I am a member of other forums, and they don't seem to like to answer newbie questions, especially if they think they are dumb. So here is my "stupid" question. I am geting a bloodred female soon, and I am would like to know what would be a prospective mate for her, other than another bloodred. I have seen amel/bloods, and hypo/bloods and they are extremely beautiful. I was kind of leaning towards an amel. I am going to a local reptile show tomorrow and am going to be looking for that mate, so any help would be appreciated. Also are bloodreds considered "normal"? I have the progency predictor and they say to condsider them normal, but the crosses I have seen don't seem to produce normal babies. As I said I am very new to the hobby and trying to learn everything I can. I won't be breeding for a couple of years, until my babies grow up, but I like to read a learn. I also like to ask questions to people who have been in the business and know what they are doing. I feel that is the way to learn. So you all will probably be hearing some more "stupid" questions from me in the future. Thanks

Hmmm...a sunglow might be an interesting combo with a bloodred... Also, what show do you go to? Just curious since I have been interested in getting a normal bloodred but no one seems to have them until August. Post a pic for us with whatever you decide to get! Good Luck.
