well after about 5 months of not eating he finally eat last night so that makes me very happy (i didn't want to lose this one because it is my male) the other 2 have been eating good sence febuary-march time. i'm still new to all of this becuse i got my fisrt dumeril in october of 04 and the other two in november couldn't turn down the price for the two of them(someone i know had a pet shot he sells different types to snakes well in his shop he had these to dumerils and sould not get read of them in 8 months so he offered them to me for $250. for both and one is a male and the other is a female(so i have 1 male and 2 females ) and the ones i got from him i'm going to try to breed this comming winter????? sorry to keep rabling on

glad you got him to eat. i had a similar issue with my male dumeril. he went 6 weeks w/o eating. he had been switched onto rats for awhile but then he just stopped eating. i finally tried a mouse to see if he would eat it and he coiled around it before the mouse even knew what had happened. so i now have him on a strictly mouse diet. it isnt a problem since i breed mice and rats, but hopefully he will have switched back over to rats before he is an adult.

well i did have one last winter that went 4 months without eating that was scary it was the first time i had that happen
