Is it possible for a male and female to breed but no eggs become produced???

Gilbery007 May 26, 2005 08:36 AM

Hi all, i bred my female on friday the 13th may it has now been 2 weeks. I checked her stomach and can't seem to see any signs of eggs, is it too early or is it at all possible for her not to have produced any eggs even though she has been bred??? Thanks

She might not be ready yet. Or it might just take her longer to produce her eggs. Not all females are the same. Their is the slight possibility that one or both of the parents are infertile. But I reccommend just giving it time. If you don't keep them in the same cage you might try putting them together again for another go.

Thankyou for your reply. I think she is gravid but was unsure maybe she just isn't showing yet. I have provided her 2 lay boxes in everyhope that she lays her eggs in the right place but i know they will probably be infertile the first time. Once again thank you for replying.
