do yellows grow as fast as greens? i have a pair of yellows and i want them to get big as soon as possible.

Well I don't know the exact growth rate of yellows or greens. But I do know yellows will never get as big as greens. female yellows will average 10-12 feet and males 7-9 feet with the possibility of growing beyond those averages. I think the record for a female yellow is around 16 feet. I have a female yellow. She was born June 11th 2004 and I got her on July the 9th. She was about 18-20 inches and had ate twice prior to being shipped. Since that time I have fed her every 7-10 days. First starting off on small mice and gradually going upto now large rats. She is now pushing the 5 foot barrier with 2 weeks to go til her 1 year birthday. Powerfeeding is HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED as you will cause your yellows to develope health issues that will shorten their lifespan. I hope this helps in any way for you. I'm not a conda expert, there are others here that are far more experienced, but I try to help out in by sharing some of my experiences with my girl

I agree with macroclemmys in that power feeding is NOT recommended. Have patience and your snake will grow. Remeber, E. notaeus is not considered one of the "Giant" snakes, and they will not grow as fast as E. murinus. My breeder males are only 4.5-5.5 feet and they are at least 6 years old. My females are between 7-12 feet.
