We have just proved the Fireball/Blackeyed Leucistic to be co-dominent. The first two clutches of 9 eggs and 8 eggs from the Leucy male to normal females resulted in 100% Fireballs. Eric Davies

Good job Rick. Like Mikey says, congratulations on figuring out the inheritnace on these black eyed lucistics that you originated.... I'm happy for you that you were finally able to post that they actually ARE co-dominant... However, it would have been much funnier and made things a lot more interesting had you hatched a mixed batch when breeding the only breedable black eyed lucistic to normals and NOT hatched out all fireballs. Can you imagine how much a couple of people would be sweating right now???? Now THAT would have been a good show......

All this Life cereal that Mikey has been eating down here in Oklahoma must have made him smarter. Since good ol’ Mikey knew that a Fire was het Leucistic years ago. Should I send a case up there to Minnesota to you and maybe a boatload over England?

Someone else...(shouldn't have to name the person)...posted a Fireball/Spider combo on this forum......not that long ago....surprised how easily that one has been forgotten already considering all the responses it received.

The Spider X Fire was not from the now proven line.

One was hatched in "04". They are sweet looking, almost like a super Pastel or Ghost Pastel look to them.

I like the fact that there are only a couple of Black Eyed Leucistics in the world. That means we won't see them on Kingsnake for $25k anytime soon like with the Ivories. Rare is good. How many Ivories are out there now? I've lost count.

According to my calculations which have been double checked for errors I would say there are a fifteen and rising.
As far as I am concerned I would like to see hundreds so that everyone can enjoy one as a beautiful living work of art, and not a million dollar dream.
I agree that rare is good but I think that affordable is better.

Interesting....I agree that affordable is better when buying new tires or groceries. When investing people usually don't like to see the stock they own become more affordable.

I think that both the IVORY/Het Ivory and the Black eyed lucy/Fire ball Are all Awesome animals and we should be trying to bash someone for producing either morph. But the fact is so far the HET Ivory(yellow belly) you can do more with, Not to take anything away from the Fire ball, because it is nice as well and may well be the KEY to other new morphs. Just my opinion, Thanks DAVID
