Herping in Washington County

herplover13 May 26, 2005 06:00 PM

Hi all. How are you doing? I was just wondering what kinds of herps live in Washington County and where to find them. I have seen many garter snakes and the occasional bullfrog or pacific treefrog but nothing more interesting than that. I'm working on getting my parents to take me to eastern Oregon during the summer, but until then I want to have something to do. Thanks to anyone who responds.
Happy Herping,

You can probably find Rubber Boas in Washington County. Now that it's so hot they've all gone underground but if it cools down to around the low sixties go look near creeks or rivers, under logs and boards. They are about as cool as it gets around here unfortunately. Good luck, Eric-
